Piano Score Privacy Policy
This public privacy policy for App Store review explains how the client and backend handle uploaded files, generated scores, and support requests.
What We Collect
- MIDI or audio files you upload.
- Canonical JSON, MusicXML, MIDI, PDF, and other score data generated after transcription.
- Connection settings and local preferences saved in the app.
- Contact info, issue details, and deletion requests submitted through the support page.
How We Use It
- Turn audio or MIDI into piano scores.
- Generate, edit, preview, play back, and export scores.
- Remember connection settings and basic preferences.
- Handle support, troubleshooting, and deletion requests.
Retention and Deletion
- Uploaded files and generated scores stay on the server you configured so the service can provide transcription and viewing results.
- Support requests are kept only until the issue is resolved.
- You can submit a deletion request through the support page and we will remove the related server data manually.
Sharing and Tracking
- We do not do ad tracking or sell data to brokers.
- User data is sent only to the server you chose and the hosting infrastructure required to provide the service.
- The data is not used for marketing except where needed to operate the service.
Trial and Purchase Access
- Audio uploads and purchase-status requests include a random install identifier so the backend can count the 3 free audio uses on this installation.
- When you buy or restore the one-time audio unlock, Apple-signed StoreKit transaction data is sent to the backend to verify the purchase and re-enable audio transcription.
If you point the client at another server, this privacy policy still applies, but the data will live on that server.
